Tolls
The Blue Water Bridge offers the lowest toll rate on the Ontario-Michigan border. The Blue Water Bridge Authority (a Canadian government agency) operates the Canadian side of the bridge while the Michigan Department of Transportation operates the US side of the Bridge. For this reason the toll rates sometimes differ depending on which direction you are travelling. Current passenger and commercial vehicle rates can be found here:

Blue Water Bridge Authority also sells tokens for those who cross more frequently. Tokens are sold in rolls of 20 for $2.50 each (50 cents off Canadian Toll Rate) and can be used on both sides of the border. Tokens are sold at the currency exchange on the Canadian side, located just before the toll area on the highway 402 bridge approach.

The twin spans of the Blue Water Bridge are extremely efficient and delays at the Blue Water Bridge are rare. Canadian and U.S. holiday weekends are the most likely times when line-ups occur. Nevertheless, it is best to confirm conditions before arriving at the bridge.
